About the Letter Doctor
Wordcom, Inc. founder and chairman, George Wachtel, has authored many articles on direct mail that have appeared in industry trade publications. The Bank Advertising News and Bank Marketing Magazine have carried his column, “The Letter Doctor.” He is a national speaker and was a regular lecturer at the ABA School of Bank Marketing.
Founded in 1981, WordCom has grown to be the leading target marketing company in the country producing creative and high-quality personalized direct mail for the banking industry. They also work with insurance companies, trust and investment firms, and a variety of business-to-business and business-to-consumer companies.
George started out in the insurance industry and was Director of Corporate Communications for Connecticut Mutual Life in Hartford, before founding WordCom in 1981.
